So you found my weird little corner of the internet… Allow me to present myself properly: I’m Jessie. I’m a silly little autist who got her yoga teacher certification and learned I actually really enjoy teaching this stuff.
But when you think of a yoga teacher, most think of flow instructor. I like to get weird with it and teach people to feel moves within their body. I cue for those who tend to forget to listen to their bodies. I base my flow off what my body needs for the day. I spend a ton of work with daily posture strengthening tips, and have learned many people around me really appreciate these tips more than the flow class they will no doubt forget about as soon as they leave the class.
People who come to my classes leave with something useful for their everyday lives.
I suffered with chronic pain ever since I was a teenager (later learned it was mostly hormone related – thanks Lupus!) and I’m hitting too close to 40 to feel as limber as I do now. I still have my days though, where even sitting upright feels like a lot.
(The key is to not shame yourself for being a human. We will always have days like that and beating yourself up over it helps no one. )
So, if this is our first time meeting, I’m glad you found me. I assure you, it’s not a coincidence. <3
