Kids classes are roughly 45 minute sessions that will be broken into 2 parts; the active movement phase and the cool down/integration phase. These classes will follow a SEL curriculum, incorporating yoga to help with embodiment side of the practice. A typical class for a little’s session would look like a balancing game or yoga dice game, then story/sharing time, then ending with a breathing strategy or coloring activity for mindfulness meditation.
Teen classes would start with a similar play-style game or a pose challenge (like “yogi see, yogi do!”), go into a more traditional flow, but while interacting with them. This is not a “sit and watch me do yoga” class, it’s a “what are you feeling from this stretch?” class. It’s a way to help teens connect with their bodies because at that age, I had no proprioception of where my body was in space.
Adult mobility class is a 90 minute session where we go over how to assess overall mobility and use those assessments to target specific problematic areas. As time allows, we’ll try to go through a few drills to see if posture correction will be likely to solve the root issue of your pain in mobility. Teens are welcome to join this class if they have limits in their mobility, but must be mature enough to work independently with adults.
Price is $40/class with the option to grab follow-up 1:1 sessions later at a discounted rate.
